Empower your youngest learners to make a big splash! In this early elementary science design challenge, students explore the importance of water conservation by designing their own awareness campaigns. From posters and jingles to stop-motion videos and labeled objects, students work in teams to create original projects that promote sustainable water use in schools, homes, and communities.
Aligned to the Engineering Design Process (EDP), this module scaffolds inquiry-based learning for both students and educators. The challenge includes facilitation questions, vocabulary, suggested groupings, and adaptable time frames to support engagement, creativity, and collaborative problem-solving in K–2 classrooms.
Through this experience, students build foundational STEM fluency while developing communication and design skills, learning how to raise awareness, influence others, and become responsible stewards of Earth’s most precious resource.
