AI Essentials
AI Essentials introduces students and teachers to artificial intelligence and machine learning. Students begin by exploring what AI is, how it works, and where they may already encounter AI in their daily lives. Then they take a closer look at algorithms, AI models, neural networks, training data, and the ways machines can learn from experience.
Throughout the modules, students consider how AI is used in areas such as medicine, agriculture, transportation, climate science, and gaming. They also examine questions related to bias, ethics, and responsible AI use.
AI Essentials includes hands-on activities, opportunities for discussion and investigation, and a final Portfolio Project. Educators and students also receive access to the JASON Learning AI Toolbox, which includes information about current AI tools that can support teaching and learning.
